Santa Clara County, also referred to as “Silicon Valley”, is unique because of its combination of agricultural and economic diversity. With its numerous natural amenities and one of the highest standards of living in the country, the county has long been considered one of the best areas in the United States in climate and working environment. Santa Clara County, located at the southern end of the San Francisco Bay, is a major employer area for the Bay Area region. There are 15 popular cities including Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Los Altos Hill, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Jose, Santa Clara, Saratoga and Sunnyvale. Cupertino, Campbell, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale and San Jose have been globally recognized as the Home of industry ‘giants’ of Apple Inc., Google, Facebook, HP, Cisco Systems, Intel, and eBay among others. The Bay Area has attracted its share of new waves of people, developing innovative technological ideas throughout the area as leaders in aerospace and electronics manufacturers. Silicon Valley is unquestionably the birthplace of the technology revolution….and has in recent years, taken the leadership of the Social Communications world through the craftsmanship of companies like Facebook, Google, the software developers contributing to the new world of ‘apps’ for Apple and Android mobile products. While Palo Alto, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos and Saratoga have traditionally nabbed the lead for best properties in the Valley, their celebrated valley neighbors, including San Jose, Morgan Hill and Gilroy have incredible natural beauty in acreage dedicated to open space and the preservation of the land than nearly anywhere in the country. Surrounding Santa Clara Valley are twenty-nine parks and reservoirs which can satisfy a wide variety of outdoors needs. The very active park enthusiast can enjoy mountain hiking, swimming and water-skiing. For the less moderately active person, boating, archery, golfing, horseback riding and trap/skeet area available. And for the less active there’s… fishing, camping, picnicking and nature study. Just to the south of Morgan Hill is Gilroy, best known as the ‘Garlic Capital of the World’ and home of the Annual Garlic Festival each July………..The ‘sleepy’ villages of Morgan Hill, San Martin and Gilroy are located in the most southern tip of the county. Morgan Hill has the reputation of being one of the last communities in the region with a charming small-town atmosphere. From its beautiful narrow valley with recreational lakes, oak studded mountains and sleepy communities to the west and bordered by an 87,000 acres Henry Coe State Park preserved for nature studies, walking and horseback riding.
